MOT Testing at Motorsave
At Motorsave, we can carry out class I to class VII MOT’s. This includes all speciality vehicles.
MOT testing is a legal requirement for any vehicle over the age of 3 years to ensure it is road-worthy. The tests start when the vehicle is 3 years old and is annual thereafter. It is enforced to make sure your vehicle isn’t a hazard to both people in the vehicle and other road users. The vehicle is checked for external safety such as tyre health and windscreen clarity to internal safety such as seat belts.
MOT Failure? What Next?
If your MOT fails, this means your vehicle is deemed not to be roadworthy. Any required failures must be fixed before the vehicle can be re-tested and go back out on the road. Most repairs can be done while the vehicle is in with us or you can take the vehicle away to be repaired elsewhere. If all repairs are completed and the vehicle is back with Motorsave in 10 working days, we will retest the vehicle for free.
MOT Expired? Contact Us Today
If your vehicle has run out of its MOT, the vehicle can no longer be driven on the road legally. You are able to drive to an MOT centre to have your MOT test without a valid MOT, but if stopped by police, you will be required to have proof of an MOT test appointment. If this is something you will require, tell the service advisor whilst booking and we will be happy to provide it to you.
